Models of Diversity is an established UK charity founded by Angel Sinclair and dedicated to improving diversity, inclusion and representation within the fashion, beauty and media industries. For the past 17 years, the charity has challenged narrow beauty standards, harmful stereotypes and barriers that prevent many people from being seen, heard and valued.
Our core focus is to create opportunities for people who have historically been underrepresented or excluded, including disabled people, neurodiverse individuals, people from ethnically diverse backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, older people, plus-size individuals and those affected by bullying, discrimination or low confidence.
We believe representation has the power to change lives. When people see themselves reflected positively in society, it builds confidence, aspiration and belonging. Through campaigns, education, advocacy, workshops, events and creative projects, we use visibility as a tool for empowerment and social change.
Despite our national reach and long-standing impact, Models of Diversity has never received government funding. We have sustained our work through determination, partnerships, fundraising and the support of our community. This independence reflects the passion and resilience that has driven the charity for nearly two decades.
Today, Models of Diversity continues to influence industries, support individuals and create spaces where diversity is celebrated authentically rather than treated as a trend.
