Nominee Profile

Location: London
Thriving Autistic CLG is an Autistic-led nonprofit founded in Dublin in 2020 by Tara O'Donnell Killen, supporting Autistic and neurodivergent people across the UK, Ireland, and 19 countries worldwide. We are believed to be the world's first multidisciplinary nonprofit comprised entirely of Autistic and neurodivergent psychologists, therapists, coaches, and professional practitioners. Since 2020, we have reached over 5,000 Autistic adults through professional peer support.

We centre human dignity, and the right to thrive in everything we do. We stand unequivocally for the safety, freedom, and inherent worth of all neurodivergent people — including those who are non or minimally speaking, transgender, non-binary, gender-diverse, racialised, disabled, and multiply marginalised.

Our work spans professional peer support, post-identification programmes, neuro-affirming resources, practitioner development, professional training, and systemic advocacy, all grounded in the neurodiversity paradigm and a neuro-affirming human rights framework. Our Global Neurodivergent Practitioners Directory connects people worldwide seeking neuro-affirming support.

Since 2020, we have supported over 5,000 Autistic adults through our professional peer support and supported hundreds of Autitsic adults through our Rethink Ireland-funded Discovery Programme, and contributed to national disability policy in Ireland.
Every training, community space and resource we create is accessible by design. We are building spaces where neurodivergent people can heal, connect, and lead.
