Having children with autism is tough, but the smallest of milestones are heart felt rewards. Knowing our journey as parents to our amazing boys Dylan and Elliott is incredibly important. We are their acceptance, their support, their voice, their positivity, their strength and advocate but most importantly we are parents who will never give up.
Dylan and Elliott are our inspiration. They are not the same as everyone else, yet they are no different to anyone else. They are just them. Their unique awesome selves.
It is because of Dylan and Elliott that we decided to set up BEE UNIQUE. Myself and Dave Parsons wouldn't have been able to set up and run the charity without the amazing support from Natalie and Martin McCarron. While we may occasionally appear to fill different roles, it is only the support around this, with all of us in the team that enables us to do this around jobs and our own family. We have the most incredible dedicated and motivated BEE UNIQUE reps/volunteers who have enabled the charity to continue to grow in the North West.
BEE UNIQUE, is an award-winning West Cumbria Based Autism Charity, set up to embrace, educate and entertain those diagnosed with and those engaged in the medical diagnosis of Autism as well as supporting their Parents, Families and Carers. As parents and carers ourselves, we know that this comes with incredible blessings as well as incredible challenges.
Our purpose is: To relieve the needs of those diagnosed with Autism and those who are currently engaged in the medical diagnosis of Autism and their immediate families and carers in England in particular, but not exclusively, by the provision of support and recreational activities.
Our promise to those that have been diagnosed with or are engaged in the medical diagnosis of Autism is to create safe sensory learning and stimulation through the organising of events, trips and social gatherings.
