The Lee Cooper Foundation is a mental health foundation run by young people, for young people. The Foundation was founded by Lily Spendlove in 2018 after she lost her best friend Lee Thornley to suicide. The Lee Cooper Foundation aims to bridge the gap between young people talking about their mental health, and the existing mental health services. They aim to prevent the endless waiting lists from taking the lives of our loved ones. The Lee Cooper Foundation is run entirely by young volunteers who use their adverse lived experiences to provide support, guidance and a safe space to other young people ages 11-24. This amazing organisation work closely with local schools, work professionals, councils and many different organisations to provide free and accessible support. They are approaching the one year anniversary of their Well-Being Hub which provides support to young people Monday - Friday.
