2023 Shortlisted Nominee
Community Organisation Award: Disability

ADHDadultUK was set up as a registered charity in January 2022 to provide guidance and support for adults with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and for those who suspect they have ADHD. The charity has helped thousands of people start the journey towards a diagnosis, understand themselves better and learn how to navigate life as a neurodivergent person in a society that doesn’t understand ADHD. Through campaigning using accessible, evidence-based information they have also helped to fight the persistent and damaging myths and stigma around ADHD that often stops people from seeking a diagnosis. This amazing charity have provided training on ADHD to a variety of organisations including police services, universities and private companies to help them better support their employees. ADHDadultUK is associated with the UK Top 200 podcast, The ADHD Adults, and has an online community forum of over 4,000 adults.
