Grammy nominated chart-topper Lewis Capaldi is a Scottish singer/songwriter. In May 2020, it was announced that Capaldi's song "Someone You Loved" had become the longest-running top 10 UK single of all time by a British artist. In September 2022, Lewis revealed he was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome and has remained candid with his fans about his struggle with Tourette’s Syndrome, and how it affects his body. Lewis has touched many with his authenticity and emotional insight, laying much of this bare in a documentary for Netflix where he discussed the disabling level of anxiety and depression he experiences. Lewis opening up publicly about his disorder will no doubt help to raise awareness about Tourette’s syndrome, change the way the much-misunderstood condition is viewed, and reduce the stigma associated with it, on a global scale.
