Steve Chalke is the founder and leader of the Oasis Trust. Oasis is now one of the largest charities in the UK, with more than 5,000 employees. It provides housing, education, healthcare, and a host of other initiatives, working in more than 40 local communities across England, as well as in various others around the world. Over the years Steve has researched and written extensively around the theology and practice of diversity and inclusion - especially related to LGBT+, racial and socio-economic equality. Awarded an MBE and various other honorary fellowships for his contribution in these areas, he is currently working with the Ministry of Justice to create the UK’s first Secure School, a new restorative approach to supporting young people in the justice system. Steve is a remarkable individual; a champion of inclusion and compassion.
